The Sree Sudheendra Medical Mission Hospital is one of the premier Hospital in Kerala. It is a 200 bedded multi-specialty Hospital in the heart of Cochin City started in 1971 and it has been functioning as a Charitable Medical Institution (Reg. No. 82 of 1971) rendering yeomen service to the needy and ailing society, under the patronage of His Holiness Srimad Sudheendra Theertha Swamiji, Head of Sree Kasha Math Samsthan. The Sree Sudheendra Medical Mission has a sister concern. Viz. Dr. Padiyar Memorial Homoeopathic Medical College, Chottanikkara.
The Sree Sudheendra College Of Nursing established under Sree Sudheendra College Of Nursing gets all the support from experts of Hospital as well as Medical College for conducting classes for preclinical and clinical subjects like Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Bio-chemistry, Psychology, Sociology and English. The parent Hospital, has all facilities including Neurology, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Modern Trauma Care Center, well equipped ICUs / CCU, Modern Operation Theatres, CT Scanner etc. The Hospital has all the super specialty Departments like Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Urology, Geriatric Care, Pediatric Surgery, Yoga and Exercise programme. The School of Nursing wing of Sree Sudheendra Medical Mission began its functioning during the year 1999, with an annual intake of 20 students.
Sree Sudheendra College Of Nursing
The Sree Sudheendra College of Nursing, under the Management of Sree Sudheendra Medical Mission, which is a charitable institution registered under the Travancore–Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act XII of 1955, and it is a center of excellence with a team of dedicated and experienced staff having excellent infrastructural facilities. The educational programmes offered by the College are B.Sc. (Nursing) and Post Basic B.Sc.( Nursing). The College and the Hostel buildings are located in the same campus. The College is situated in a calm and serene atmosphere at Ambalamedu, 6 Kilometers away from Thripunithura. It is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and the Kerala Nurses’ and Midwives’ Council and it is affiliated to the Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur.
Inspired by the vision and mission of our Patron H.H. Sree Sudheendra Theertha Swamiji of Sree Kasi Mutt, we targeted our motive to develop nursing leadership to provide quality health care through innovative approaches to education, research and clinical practice.
